Chainalytics Named To List Of 100 Great Supply
Chain Partners For Fourth Consecutive Year
Atlanta - July 24, 2007 - For the fourth year in a row, Chainalytics LLC, the leading provider of advanced analytical supply chain services, has been named to the list of 100 Great Supply Chain Partners published in the July 2007 Global Logistics & Supply Chain Strategies (GL&SCS) magazine.
The 100 Great Supply Chain Partners were chosen from nearly 1,800 nominations from small and large companies covering scores of different industries on five continents. The 100 winners of the "100 Great Supply Chain Partners" were chosen based on the number of votes and the supporting comments of their nomination.
"We are honored that our customers and partners continue to recognize our efforts to add value to their businesses", said Mike Kilgore, President and CEO, Chainalytics. "Supply chain complexity is accelerating at an unprecedented pace and we endeavor to help our clients by providing clarity to their decision-making processes."
A specific nomination from Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. assisted with Chainalytics earning this honor again in 2007. Highlighted in the case study entitled 'Forging a Model Supply Chain', Robert A. Sager, manager of supply chain research and design, provides insights into how Chainalytics is supporting Cooper to realign its North American distribution network to support its service and cost objectives.
Sager notes that one benefit of the Chainalytics engagement was that it provided Cooper hard numbers that enabled tough decisions on the redistribution of inventory. "In the past," says Sager, "we had guys in supply chain, marketing, and at the factory, all with ideas about where product should be, and how we should provide service to the customer. The network modeling tool was basically data-driven, so once everybody agreed on the model, we could back it up."
