Pieter Bauwens, Principal, brings nearly 20 years of experience to the Chainalytics Europe team. His focus area will include the Cost-to-Serve and Customer & Product Profitability offerings. His experience spans many industries including food and beverage, building, and paper & packaging.
Before joining Chainalytics, Pieter was Director in PwC Belgium. He started his career at Heineken and moved to consulting in 2000 when he joined the team at S&V Management Consultants where he grew a new practice linking supply chain with finance and sales & marketing. Pieter lead multiple international assignments across the globe where he and his team developed a proprietary analytical tool to assess and manage the Cost-to-Serve (Equazion), subsequently sold to PwC.
With a bio-chemical engineering background, Pieter completed an MBA and a Masters in B2B Marketing & Sales to build the broad knowledge needed to discuss themes such as Cost-to-Serve and Portfolio management at all levels of the chain of command. He holds a certification Six Sigma (black belt), SCOR, inventory management, and pricing. He is also a guest lecturer at Vlerick Business School and co-authored research on turning the supply chain into a strategic asset to get fit for profitable growth.
