Principal, Integrated Demand and Supply Planning

Steve Thrift is a principal in Chainalytics’ Integrated Demand & Supply Planning competency. He brings a proven record of business leadership, collaborative consulting and superior business results to each unique supply chain challenge–especially for high-volume manufacturing, distribution, and retail clients.

Steve’s experience includes large-scale, end-to-end supply chain transformations that demand his logistics, forecasting, customer service, project management, process improvement and industrial engineering expertise. He typically focuses on demand and supply balancing, including sales and operations planning (S&OP), materials management, inventory productivity optimization, process transformation, organizational design and technology implementation and integration optimization.

Prior to joining Chainalytics, Steve served in logistics, demand and supply planning, fulfillment and software implementation senior leadership roles at companies including Capgemini, Logility, Lowe’s, and Springs Global. He has also served as an Adjunct Instructor at Montreat College, Greenville Technical College and York Technical College.

Published author in the Journal of Business Forecasting,  International Journal of Management, APICS- The Performance Advantage, and Southern Business Review, Steve holds multiple certifications: Six Sigma Green Belt (CPCC), professional forecaster (Institute of Business Forecasting), project management professional (Project Management Institute), fellow in production and inventory management (APICS), and integrated resource management (APICS).

He earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from Georgia Southern University and holds a master’s of business administration from Auburn University.
